THE BRACKET RULES
OVERALL RULES
The Bracket is a traditional Esports tournament format, where 8 players will compete in a single elimination bracket in best of 3s, until the final which will be a best of 5. The format is always 1 vs 1 with various game specific limitations which will be covered in their appropriate sections below.
If there are more players looking to play, we will hold 2 qualifiers, one of the Monday of that week and one on the Friday. These qualifiers will use the swiss-system format where players will be in at least 1 group, after the first series the winners will play against the winners, losers play against the loser, then following matches will be based on players scores. For example, players who go 2-0 will play against another 2-0 players, 1-1 players the same, and so forth and so forth until the group has determined an appropriate number of players to advance. Players who do not qualify in the first qualifier, can play again in the second. Once 8 players have been selected based on results, the qualifiers will be over.
BRAWLHALLA RULES
To accommodate newer players, competitors must use the base stats and no cross-over skins. Players will join a private lobby to complete their match. If time is willing all games will be casted live on the OMWProductions Twitch Channel. If not players must submit their scores to an admin, and if any discrepancies arise an investigation will be held, reviewing the replays, and the player found to be acting in unsportsmanlike conduct, including but not limited to lying about the results of the match will be banned from the rest of the Bracket events. Specifics about how the game will be set in lobby are as follows: Game Mode: Stock (3 lives), Match Time: 5 minutes, Damage: 100%, Weapon Spawn Rate: High, Gadget Spawn Rate: Low, Map Choosing: Tournament Striking
GEOGUESSR RULES
Geoguessr matches will be played in an invite only lobby, where players will play 1 vs 1 Duel, in the standardized map types. The match will be played in Move: Classic mode allowing full movement along roads with a standard time limit. The Health System: Players will have 6000 health, and 7 Rounds, if a player is not eliminated, the player with the most health wins.
MAGIC THE GATHERING ARENA RULES
Players will only be able to select from the standardized "Starter Duel Decks" to keep the matches fair for newer players. Players will play 3 best of 3s, and will be able to switch decks between each best of 3. One of the players must screen share via Discord for broadcasting capabilities. There will be a stream delay of 5 minutes to prevent any cheating, but it is strongly advised that players do not watch the stream during their matches. Any unsportsmanlike conduct including constantly "fusing" the opponent, which mean purposely delaying the duration of the game by waiting the maximum time to make a decision will result in a default loss and ban from The Bracket competition. If a game is not able to be casted due to time restraints both players must submit the score, and any discrepancy will be handled by an admin which could result in both players having a default loss. If we cannot broadcast it, we will ask an admin to potentially enter a discord screen share off stream to ensure this does not arise.
STARCRAFT II RULES
Players will face in 1 vs 1 matches with the map pool being decided at a later date. Players will each be able to change their race between games if they so choose. If the game ends in a stalemate such that neither players can win the game, it will be deemed a do over.
USAGE OF ADD-ONS
Any add-ons or programs that give an individual player will be investigated by the admins and if found guilty will result in a ban from The Bracket. Only tools that are actively available in the game client are allowed, nothing from over developers or home brewed software.
